Every wrestlers got to have a good stage name. Enter GNoah the GNashville GNasher (thanks for the idea Carol). Noah started wrestling with the Copperheads in December of last year. He is really enjoying it.
Through his first three tournaments he has 5 wins and 5 losses. 3 wins by pinning his opponent. I know that doesn’t sound like a great record, but consider the fact that he was 3 and 1 in his last tournament, placing second. Click on the pic to see lots more.
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving here in Nashville. Lynlee’s mother, father and grandmother came and we were joined by our close friend Teri Lingley with her daughter Caity from Dallas.
We smoked our turkey on the grill this year and it turned out really good. So good that Lynlee’s father, Bill, went home the next day a smoked a chicken on his grill. Among the fun for the day: Bill coached Noah on batting and fielding; we played poker with the new poker set Bill gave Lynlee; and I harassed Teri as much as humanly possibly.
The first grade at Hunters Bend Elementary School put on a show for their families last night. The theme was “I’m Free To Be Me” and they sang songs about what they might be when they grow up. The songs were about sailors, plumbers, cowboys and movie stars. The kids really enjoyed themselves, and Noah was smiling with glee throughout the show. Click on the pic to see more.
I had the pleasure of taking promotional photos for Mary’s singing/dancing group, Show Stoppers. They will be performing a bunch of “Americana” music. I took head shots of the cast and the two directors. Dealing with a bunch of over-excited tweens was interesting in itself.
Since I had to get the lighting down first, I practiced on Noah.
Be sure to check back in mid-November to see some shots from the show.
