]]> http://blog.frampton.us/show-stoppers/feed 2 Spring is Sprining http://blog.frampton.us/spring-is-sprining http://blog.frampton.us/spring-is-sprining#comments Wed, 18 Mar 2009 06:58:02 +0000 Ken http://blog.frampton.us/?p=358 IMG_5941The English weather has improved immensley the past few weeks.  First highs in the 50s and this week all in the 60s with lots of sunshine.  I could really tell, though, when I came home from work to find Mary camped out in the back yard.  Note the socks.  That’s Mary’s signature move!  The snowdrops have come and gone, the crocuses are almost gone and the daffodils are in full swing.  Next month the bluebells will be out and I’ll be working hard at getting some nice photos of those.  And best of all we change our clocks this weekend.

This past weekend I snuck out early to go take picutres at Portland Bill.  I took a wrong turn in Weymouth which led me along the waterfront where all of the clubs are.  It was 5:15am and there were lots of young people (and police) outside the pubs.  I realized it was still yesterday for them!portland

It snowed! Like, for real!  We haven’t seen more than a dusting of snow since we moved here.  But yesterday we woke up to at least 2 inches (or 5 cm if your of that inclination).  As usuall, click on the picture to see more.

It consisted of several vignettes from classic (and some not so classic) fairy tales. The tradition in England is to make these fairy tales humorous and add in some audience participation.

Mary played the roll of the prince in Cinderella in the scene where he goes around trying the lost slipper on all the women in the village.

Hey Whoa Whoa. Do you recognize the costume she’s wearing?
