The Holidays

We all had a great time at Christmas. Mary got an iPod and Noah got many different dinasours. At about 12:00 on Christmas Day we drove to Florida were we did a whole lot of nothing — pool, golf, reading, sleeping etc.

At New Year’s we visited the Dan Burtons in their Naples home. This year we got to see both Laura and Danny. Laura and Mary bonded in a big way by spending New Year’s Day in Laura’s bedroom watching TV, eating doritoes and drinking Diet Coke. I think that Laura has met her match in Mary – Mary stayed up later, slept later and in general did more nothing than even a solid college student like Laura could manage.

Noah had a big time in the pool and pretty much stayed away from it unless he had his floaty thing on. He promised Uncle Dan that much at least. The boys played golf on New Years Day on what Ken indicated was one of the hardest courses he has played in a long time. Capped off the day with a pork roast and saurecat dinner. (OK I can’t spell it.)

Ken and I spent a lot of time on this vacation talking about moving and surfing the web for information about moving to the UK. We are waiting on the actual offer so that we can sign it before we do any major work towards it. Although we are planning to spend the month of January on a painting streak in at least 4 rooms in the house.
