The Kids and I arrived in England on Thursday 10Aug06, landing in Gatwick just as they closed the Heathrow airport because of the arrests in London the night before. We were able to get home before it got crazy – whew.
Mary is the one having the most trouble with jet lag and is up all hours of the night. Getting her up before noon is a bear. Noah is a little better but we are all going to bed late and waking up late.
I have driven 4 times and actually drove solo yesterday for the first time. I am going to have to buy a car soon and promise to recover from the sale of my beloved Acura TL (for peanuts) on my birthday the day we left Nashville. I am looking at BMWs baby.
Eating has become a major issue. As you all may be aware our refrigerator is slightly larger than a dorm refrigerator. The freezer is not in the kitchen. Apparently nothing has preservatives because the food is packaged in very small containers and says to use within 2 days of opening. I have actually been cooking – Yikes.
Noah has been in his new daycare 2 days and will go again today while I go to the office. He has made a friend there and our neighbors have an 11 year old girl and a 5 year old boy who have become regular playmates.
Our home computer is not hooked up yet so I am unable to post any pictures but will do so as soon as possible.
Our home phone is 023 8026 3950.
Love to hear from you.

I can’t find the pictures of the outside of the house and the backyard. Did they disappear or am I missing something?

Lauren and Gretchen here. We love the pictures! Lauren wants to know if everyone had a good time in Paris. She wants to know a lot of details about the trip–what a girl! We would like to call–maybe we will try this weekend. We have thought a lot about you guys. Fall carnival and spaghetti supper was Friday and LJ had a roller skating birthday on Sat. Your Wimbledon house is sporting copper downspouts and gutters and the angel is still in the front yard. We just finished 1st 6 wks of school-lots of homework for Alex and LJ. I still have pictures to send Mary and Noah. Please keep the blog updated..we are living our lives thru your adventures!
